 Our multi-year scholarships for post-secondary education at college, university or apprenticeships celebrate your achievement and your future potential!

Applications for the 2025 ONE City Scholarship will open next February

WHO CAN APPLY

  • To apply you must be a full-time TDSB student who is graduating in 2024, and is eligible to pay domestic fees for university, college or an apprenticeship.

  • You must be either a Canadian citizen, a Permanent Resident, have Refugee Status, or you have been accepted into a sanctuary program by a post-secondary institution.

  • NEW! Olivia Wilks Scholarship for Black Graduates: If you are a Black student planning to study a helping profession— such as social work, sociology, psychology, nursing, or a social justice program—you may be eligible for the Olivia Wilks Scholarship. Just apply for a ONE City Scholarship and let us know if this is what you’re planning to study. You’ll be considered for both scholarships (but you can only win one of them.

HOW TO APPLY

  • Click the APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP button to access the application form.

  • Find a teacher to read your application and be your reference. Your application is not complete until your reference has submitted their form, available by clicking the button above.

  • Make sure your application is submitted by by the deadline.

WHAT COMES NEXT

  • All applicants will be notified about their application status in mid May.

  • Recipients receive a $3000 scholarship paid over two years.

WHO IS A TYPICAL ONE CITY RECIPIENT

  • A student who has experienced significant challenges in their life and yet has been able to achieve academic success and be accepted into college or university.

  • A student who has financial need and may apply for OSAP.

  • A student who is ambitious in their personal goals and active in their community.

  • A student who is open to joining a growing mentorship circle of One City Scholars.
